WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
Most heating and cooling systems today are either forced-air systems or hot water (hydronic) systems. These systems consist of a heating unit (furnace or boiler), a distribution system (ducts and registers, or pipes and radiators), and controls (such as thermostats) that regulate the system. For cooling, an evaporator coil (indoor unit) and a condenser (outdoor unit) connected with a lineset with refrigerant (410A). In instances where there isn’t a distribution system, heating can be supplied by a ductless unit.
