HRV & HEPA FILTER CLEANING
When was the last time you cleaned the filters and cartridges of your HRV or HEPA filter? Your HRV or HEPA will not run efficiently if it is impacted with dirt or debris.
HRVs bring fresh air from outdoors into your home and then your HEPA filters that air so that your furnace can help recirculate clean air into your home. Through proper maintenance of these key components, you will ensure that you prolong the life of these parts so they can function properly like the way they were designed.
Every three to six months the filters should be cleaned by vacuuming them to remove as much dust and debris as possible, then washed with warm water and mild soap.
