WHY PURCHASE HEPA FILTERS
A typical home contains over 60 toxic chemicals in addition to pollen, mold spores, cat dander, and very diverse house dust. Ironically, some of the worst toxic offenders come from cleaning products. Dry-cleaned clothes hanging neatly in closets are a big source of pollution in the all-important bedroom. An EPA study concluded that toxic chemicals in household cleaners are 3 times more likely to cause tumors than outdoor air. In the indoor air cleaner industry, true-HEPA air purifiers are judged by their ability to remove .3 micron particles. This is the most penetrating particle size. But only true-HEPA filters, tightly gasketed and sealed, will effectively trap fine particles.

  • All clinics must remain sterile as the slightest increase in airborne contagions drastically affects not only the practitioners but its vulnerable patients as well.

Medical clinics: Patients suffering from severe airborne contagious diseases, require negative pressure rooms created by an air filtration system trapping air in an isolation room.

Dental clinics: Dentistry practices need chemical compounds for dental work, elevating the risk of exposure to harmful airborne contaminants. Their ultrasonic equipment generates easily inhalable micro-droplets of bacteria that stay airborne for a lengthy period.

Laboratories: Lab technicians require control over the level of contamination and environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and pressure.  Ideally suited for pharmaceutical applications including cannabis laboratories.

Cleanrooms: Cleanrooms for research or manufacturing require careful control of airborne pollutants to ensure that sensitive projects are not compromised.  Cleanrooms are contained spaces used to manufacture products or perform research where air pollutants can adversely affect the process. They require control over the level of contamination and environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and pressure. HEPA filters limit the circulation of stale air and trap particles as small as 0.3 microns. The average urban environment contains 35,000,000 particles the size of 0.5 microns per cubic metres.

Positive Pressure Rooms: Common in use for operating theatres and microelectronics factories, positive pressure rooms have elevated air pressure to protect against contaminants.  Positively pressurized rooms (also known as a protective room) have elevated air pressure levels, to keep out contaminants like bacteria and viruses. The environment protects patients in operating theatres ensuring infections do not enter open body cavities and other conditions that compromise their immune system. Positive pressure rooms are also advantageous in the microelectronic industry, which requires a low particulate count to protect the manufactured circuit boards.

Negative Pressure Rooms: Negative room pressure is an isolation technique used in medical centres to prohibit cross-contaminations between rooms. A ventilation system generates negative pressure and forces the air into an isolation room. Since air naturally flows from high-pressure areas to lower ones, it prevents air from leaving the room. Negative pressure rooms treat patients with contagious airborne diseases without exposing others to their symptoms.

Formaldehyde Off-Gassing:  Formaldehyde is a colourless gas emitted from household products and building materials. It’s off-gassing sources diminish over time. However, it can take up to a few weeks – sometimes years – to dissipate. High levels of formaldehyde are detectable by a sharp smell and causes eye irritation, aggravates the respiratory system, and can cause nasal cancer.

Air Filtration for Asbestos Removal & Abatement: Asbestos removal is a very important and critical development in construction in the last decade, and as a result a need for managing air quality during these projects has emerged. HEPA was developed by the US Atomic Energy Commission to prevent the spread of airborne radioactive particulate. HEPA products are highly effective in supporting the removal and abatement of Asbestos, by way of cleaning harmful particulate from the air inside of the contaminated areas.

Air Filtration for Mold Remediation:  Mold has long been a concern for people all around the world. While many think that they are free of concerns associated with mold so long as they do not touch it or get too close to it, that is not true. Mold particles are small enough to pass through the cilia in your sinuses and can easily become lodged in your lungs. We have worked with and supplied countless mold removal and abatement companies with our products in order to help them create safe and clean environments for their employees during the removal process.

Air Filtration for Disaster Restoration:  Disaster restoration can often result in situations where large volumes of bacteria, particulate, mold, odors, and more are released into the air. These harmful contaminants can create unsafe working conditions for restoration teams and if left untreated can result in long term issues for property owners. Our products help to reduce the volume of contaminants present in the air on these projects, resulting in a safer and more productive work environment, and a better end result for clients recovering from disasters.

Air Filtration for Construction Projects:  Undergoing a renovation and have to live through it?  Dust can create all sorts of issues on constructions projects. Not only is it a terrible mess and significant investment for trades to have to address, it can also cause significant issues with Painters, Drywall teams and several other trades. In addition, many of the people working in these situations may have dust allergies or sensitivities, making it very difficult or even impossible for them to do their jobs. HEPA Filtration products work to remove dust from workspaces to improve efficiency, worker satisfaction, and overall safety and productivity.
